Health & Life Safety

In partnership with the District’s architect of record, ARCON Associates, Inc., long-range capital improvement plans were created forecasting expenditures for the next 10 years and beyond.  The exterior and interior of all facilities were surveyed by a licensed architect, creating a condition assessment of assets all the way down to brick and mortar.  Both District administration and building principals provided perspectives and input of future needs of the facilities, bringing the surveys full circle for a comprehensive and inclusive process.

Once every 10 years Illinois school facilities are required to have a Health & Life Safety Survey conducted by a licensed architect.  This inspection covers all aspects of the school facility, identifies items to be corrected, and documents that existing conditions meet the current building and school code.
