District 23 has begun a new chapter in its history by launching the Teaching Learning and Technology Committee. Over the next few years, this committee will provide the vision and planning required to move our educational environment and instruction into a digital age. This committee will review the infrastructure and hardware require to increase bandwidth and connectivity, investigate the enhancements that technology devices can provide to teacher and students, identify new curricular materials and tools, and improve home/school communications. These four "Digital Shifts" are articulated in the following graphic:
Ongoing focus groups, curriculum review committees, and technology pilot projects will inform the District 23 TLT Team as we make recommendations regarding the move to increased devices and enhanced instructional practices.
