Stock Market Game Announcement:
We are pleased to announce the 6th annual MJHS Stock Market Game (SMG), led by Jeremy Gates, a certified financial planner with Fifth Third Securities. Mr. Gates is a Kiwanis member, and has been in the investment industry for 20 years.
This two month challenge involves students working in teams research and trade stocks through the stockmarketgame.org and the University of Cincinnati. Each team begins with $100,000 to build their portfolio.
SMG meetings will take place on Tuesdays during 7th and 8th grade lunch periods. Sign-ups will take place January 24th and 25th in Social Studies classes.
E-Sports:
Game on! There will be a parent meeting on Tuesday, February 1st for students interested in playing competitive Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Rocket League E-Sports this spring. The meeting will take place in the HUB (come in the main entrance) at the high school starting at 6:30 pm until 7:30 pm. Parents will meet the director of the E-Sports program, Mr. Eten and get the information about the inaugural season and check out the E-Sports room.
