Building a Positive Learning Environment Together!

At Eisenhower Elementary, we want every student to feel safe, happy, and ready to learn. We use a program called PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) to help us do this. PBIS is all about teaching kids how to be respectful, responsible, and safe.

We have three simple rules at school: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe. These rules are important at home too!

Here's how you can practice these rules at home:

  • Be Respectful:
Listen carefully when your parents or other adults are talking to you.
Take turns with your toys and games.

  • Be Responsible:
Pack your bag and lay out your clothes the night before so you're ready for school.
Put your toys and books away when you're finished with them.

  • Be Safe:
Make sure your play area is clear so you don't trip.
Walk inside the house so you don't bump into things.

Talk to your child about what it means to be Respectful, Responsible, and Safe at home and at school. Try to have a short conversation about these expectations once a week – maybe during dinner or before bedtime. We encourage you to ask your child for specific examples of how they demonstrate these qualities.

We believe that by working together, we can create a positive and supportive learning environment for all students. We appreciate your partnership in this effort!
