Setting Upload Preferences in Galerie
Creating a web gallery using Galerie is very easy: Select pictures in iPhoto, click a button and the generated gallery is created.  The hardest part may be inputting the  publishing settings... not to worry; even that's easy and you only need to do it once!

The first time you publish Galerie, you will be presented with the Publish a gallery window.  Below is an explanation as how to fill in the fields.

Type in the Server Address: www.d23.org

Your user name is the first letter of your first name followed by your last name

Your password is the same as your e-mail password

The target folder on server depends on where your teacher folder is located.  Check with your web master to determine the correct directory path*

*Below depicts the correct directory path for a MacArthur Teacher

Note: MacArthur teacher folders are named by last name only (no first initial is used).

Once you have all the settings in place, simply click the Publish button, and you'll be uploading to the web server.

Q&A
Q. But how do I link to my published album?
A. Since your index page is located at the same level as your published web album, all you need to do is point to that folder.  In the above example the album name is "first_album"  On my home page (or index) the link would simply be first_album. And since Galerie creates an index of your web album within that folder, browsers are automatically directed to that index of your web gallery.
