Apple OS X - Adding a Printer
Below are the steps needed to add a printer by its IP address (the preferred method).   It may be necessary to have your building tech facilitator enter the tech password to make the changes to the printer list.
First, open System Preferences from the Black Apple on the top menu bar.
Then open Print & Fax.

 

If the Lock icon is closed, click it to open it. You may need your building tech facilitator to enter the tech password to proceed.
Click the Plus sign below the printer list.
 

In the Address box, enter the IP address of the printer you want to add. You can find the list of printer IP addresses by clicking on the printer icon below:

In the Name box, enter a name for the printer.

Then click the Add button in the lower right.

The printer will be added to your list of printers.
