Using WebMail

WebMail is a service available to district staff  as an alternative to a traditional email client like Apple Mail or Eudora for reading and composing email.  For security, you must use WebMail to send email when you are not on the District's network.  WebMail is used in much the same way as personal email accounts you may have with Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, etc.  The three most significant advantages WebMail provides are:
1.  Mobility - The ability to access your district email from any computer in the world which has an internet connection.
2. Compatibility - Can be used in tandem with your normal email program (Eudora or Apple's Mail), however you will not see mail that has already been downloaded to a computer.
3. Availability - There is no extra configuration for WebMail. If you have a district email address, you already have a WebMail account.

You can access your WebMail account from any Internet browser (Safari, Firefox, Camino, Internet Explorer) by going to the District home page www.d23.org and click the WebMail link listed in the Staff tab.
You can also click this link: http://mail.d23.org/webmail or type the address directly into the browser address bar.
Type your user name and password into the login screen that displays. After logging in, the initial screen will show the messages currently in your inbox.
