Burning a Data CD in OSX
90% of all the computers in the district are
equipped with CD-RW drives which allow you to burn your own CDs.
Burning a CD is a great way to:
- Move data between computers
- Share files with other people
- Backup important Data
After inserting a blank CD into your computer, this window will appear.
Leave the action at "Open Finder" and type in what the name of your CD will be.
Click OK
You will now see the blank CD show up on your desktop.
Next you will need to locate the files/folders you wish to burn, and drag them onto
the blank CD icon.
After the files are copied to the blank CD, drag it to the trash.
This window will appear asking what you would like to do with the disk.
Leave the speed at "Maximum" and click Burn.

Once the burning process is complete, the files are permanently stored on the CD.  Now you can eject the CD and write a title on the top for future reference.  It is highly recommended that you use a soft tip marker like a Sharpie to write on a CD instead of a pen.
