Thank you very much for your interest in Betsy Ross Elementary School, part of Prospect Heights School District 23. Betsy Ross is a grade level center, which houses approximately 300 second and third grade students. Our students come from the surrounding suburbs of Prospect Heights, Arlington Heights, Mount Prospect and Wheeling. Betsy Ross Elementary School offers a unique educational experience designed to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of our students. We believe Betsy Ross is "a great place for a child to grow" and truly empowers children to achieve excellence.
Currently, Betsy Ross Elementary School has approximately 40 staff members working collaboratively to ensure all students meet their potential. Our educators lead students through the journey of their primary years, constructing knowledge and meaning as we positively support students to develop into outstanding young citizens, who are respectful, responsible, and supportive of a safe learning environment.
One of the most important pieces to Betsy Ross’s success is our parent community. Our Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (EPTO) works tirelessly to provide learning experiences both in and out of the classroom. The PTO supports assemblies, holiday parties, field trips, curricular needs, social events, and many other exciting opportunities that enhance our school environment. We consider ourselves extremely lucky to be supported by such an outstanding group of individuals.
