School Social Work Services
Social Work/Counseling Services- Barb Mestling LCSW, full time school social worker, (847) 870-0531, provides the following services to MacArthur students:
• Individual/Small Group counseling
• Classroom presentations on social, emotional, or behavioral issues
• Parent or teacher consultation
• Rainbows Peer Support Program for students experiencing loss through parental divorce or the death of a family member.
• Peer Mediation training and conflict resolution services for students experiencing the typical conflicts of early adolescence.
• Referral to community resources/private therapists.
