School Wide Services
Clubs/Activities - A wide variety of clubs and organizations are available to students. A complete list is available in the MacArthur Activity Handbook.
Career Education - MacArthur has begun collaborating with the Northwest Suburban Education to Careers Partnership to provide students with a variety of career related experiences, including a "Career Corner" located in the library, along with school-to-work experiences at all grade levels.
School Nursing - Kris Brand R.N. provides students with full-time assistance with vision/hearing screening, medication management and health education. (847) 870-3882.

Speech - Jacob Sanders, speech/language pathologist, provides identified students with speech/language assessment and services as indicated.
Transitional Program of Instruction (TPI) - Linda Brimm, an English as a Second Language specialist, provides instruction and assessment of students, whose native language is one other than English.
Reading Specialist - Mary Ann Duderstadt, certified Reading specialist, provides specific instruction and consultation in this area.
Technology - Kevin Moore, technology instructor, teaches students and staff skills necessary for the productive use of computers.
Police Community Education - Officer Vertone from the
Prospect Heights Police Department gives classroom
presentations on accountability and Substance Abuse/Gang
prevention.
