Still Another Amazing Math Trick!
Find a pair of dice. It will help if they are each a different color.
Have one die be "Die #1" and the other can serve as "Die #2."
Roll the dice.
Perform the following calculations carefully. If you make
a mistake, the trick won't work!
Step 1
Double the number on top of Die #1.
Remember this answer.
Step 2
Add 3 to that product.
Remember this sum.
Step 3
Multiply this sum by 5.
Remember this product.
Step 4
To this product add the number on top of Die #2.
Remember this sum.
Step 5
Multiply this sum by 10, then subtract 150 from that product.
Your answer now reveals the numbers that appeared on top
of the dice.
The number in the hundreds place is the number on the top of Die #1.
The number in the tens place is the number on the top of Die #2.
The number in the units (ones) place
is zero.
Amazed??
Try it again with another roll of the dice...
See if you can figure out how the trick was done.
If you have a theory, explain it to me. You might be right!
