The school library is open from 8:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. every school day when children are in attendance.

This year, the Library and Computer Lab will be open after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 - 3:30 P. M. beginning on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2008.

Students may stay to:

work on technology projects assigned by their teacher.

do research in the library.

use word processing or keyboarding programs.

use electronic encyclopedias or other reference programs.

work with their parents in the library or lab.

use the computer-assisted instructional programs that are in a game format.

work on their homework.

access information from the internet.

participate in other appropriate activities.

It is not necessary to sign up for this program in advance. Every student MUST bring a permission note (stating the purpose, dated and signed, and explaining how the student will get home) from their parent EACH time they plan to stay after school for computer lab time. The note should be given to their teacher in the morning in order for staff members to be properly notified of students' after school activities. As with all after-school activities, students should not expect to stay without a note. Parents are asked to be considerate of teachers' time by picking children up promptly at 3:30 in the front parking lot.

This after-school time will be supervised by Mrs. Anderson, Eisenhower's Library Teacher.
