The Shining Apples made a spider web at the beginning of the school year. The theme of the web was: “First Grade Goals.” As the children tossed a ball of yarn back and forth to weave the web, each child had an opportunity to tell what he/she wanted to learn in First Grade. After the web was completed, I explained that if we all work together, just as we did to make the web, then we could all achieve our goals.
